Ecologist – Environmental Consultancy (Bristol)

About the role

We are seeking an Ecologist to join a specialist environmental consultancy in Bristol. The role combines field surveys with office‑based consultancy, supporting a diverse portfolio of projects across the South of England and Wales.

Key responsibilities

• Conduct ecological surveys and habitat assessments on site.
• Produce technical reports and deliver ecological advice to clients.
• Contribute to Biodiversity Net Gain assessments and support planning applications.
• Assist with project management and liaise with multidisciplinary teams.

Required profile

• Degree in Ecology, Environmental Science or a related discipline.
• Experience working in ecological consultancy.
• Strong report‑writing and client communication abilities.
• Knowledge of UK wildlife legislation and planning processes.
• Full UK driving licence and right to work in the UK.
