Edtech Account Executive – New Business Sales
eqltech · London
Job description
About the role
Zero Gravity is a tech platform connecting students from low-income backgrounds to university and career opportunities, and is bringing AI-powered tutoring into schools that have never had access to it. It is hiring a new-business Account Executive in a small, territory-based team in Central London, working hybrid (3 days a week in the office) and visiting schools in person. The recruiter handling the search is EQL Tech.
Key responsibilities
- Build your own pipeline from the start: research your territory, make early morning calls, send emails and use LinkedIn to book around four new-business meetings a week
- Run full-cycle deals yourself, from discovery and demo to proposal and close, and keep them moving
- Lead each sales conversation, setting the agenda and keeping it on track
- Grow a single school relationship into a multi-academy trust or local-authority deal
- Use the automated sales tooling to keep follow-ups, one-pagers and decks consistent
- Feed back what you learn from teachers and school leaders into product and marketing
Required profile
- A record of carrying and hitting a new-business number, with most of the pipeline built by you, plus 2+ years of quota-carrying new-business sales experience
- Direct experience closing new-business deals yourself, in a short sales cycle; pre-sales, bid writing or tender-led work does not count
- Experience taking a product from a handful of logos to a repeatable sales motion
- Strong, demonstrable belief in the mission, ideally shown over years
- Experience selling into schools, MATs or local authorities, or time spent teaching or working in a school
Required skills
- HubSpot
- Email and LinkedIn outreach
- Demo software and pipeline management
- A structured sales methodology such as MEDDPICC
What we offer
- Base pay of GBP 45,000-60,000, with OTE of GBP 76,500-102,000
- Share options, private healthcare including dental and mental health support, and gym discounts
- An annual personal-development allowance and equipment set up for day one
- Team socials, 25 days' annual leave plus bank holidays
