Education and Training Lead Pharmacist

About the role

This permanent Band 8A position at Frimley Park Hospital leads the education and training of pharmacy staff. You will design and deliver training programmes for trainee pharmacists, manage university placements and collaborate with external partners to ensure high‑quality learning experiences across Frimley Park and Wexham Park sites.

Key responsibilities

• Lead and manage trainee pharmacists, providing mentorship and performance feedback.
• Develop and deliver undergraduate and postgraduate pharmacy training programmes.
• Coordinate university placement schedules and liaise with academic institutions.
• Support education for the wider multidisciplinary team, including medical, nursing and allied health professionals.
• Maintain an acute clinical pharmacy service to keep training aligned with current practice.
• Participate in weekend, late‑night and bank‑holiday rotas as required.
• Travel between Frimley Park and Wexham Park sites to deliver consistent training.

Required profile

• Post‑graduate diploma or MSc in Clinical Pharmacy or equivalent.
• Qualified pharmacy degree (MPharm) and registration with the General Pharmaceutical Council.
• Demonstrated experience in pharmacy education, training or clinical supervision.
