About the role

Richard Nelson LLP is seeking an experienced Education Solicitor to join its dedicated Education Law team. The role involves advising and representing teachers, students, parents, and educational institutions across a broad spectrum of legal matters.

Key responsibilities

• Manage a diverse caseload covering primary and secondary school admissions, exclusions, and contractual disputes.
• Provide specialist advice on SEN/EHCP applications, assessments, and appeals.
• Represent university students in sexual allegation cases, misconduct investigations, visa applications, and fitness‑to‑practice proceedings.
• Maintain high professional standards, cost‑effective practices, and accurate time‑recording.
• Contribute to business development and promote the firm’s education law services.

Required profile

• Qualified solicitor with a strong background in education law.
• Demonstrated ability to handle complex, multi‑stakeholder cases.
