Electrical Contracts Manager

About the role

Axis CLC is seeking an experienced Electrical Contracts Manager to lead statutory compliance across its Mechanical & Electrical (M&E) operations. Reporting to the Divisional M&E Manager, you will ensure that all electrical work meets current legislation, accreditation standards and industry best practice.

Key responsibilities

• Lead and maintain statutory compliance for all M&E disciplines.
• Manage company accreditations, including NICEIC.
• Develop, implement and review compliance policies, procedures and technical guidance.
• Conduct compliance audits, inspections and investigations, and ensure corrective actions are applied.
• Provide technical advice and support to operational teams, managers and clients.
• Monitor engineer competence and allocate work only to qualified personnel.
• Produce compliance reports, analyse operational data and identify trends, risks and improvement opportunities.
• Deliver technical training, toolbox talks and compliance communications.
• Build strong relationships with clients, regulatory bodies and internal stakeholders.

Required profile

• Extensive knowledge of electrical compliance within social housing.
• Strong understanding of relevant legislation, accreditation bodies and regulatory requirements.
• Proven experience managing compliance audits, inspections and regulatory investigations.
• Ability to interpret technical data and translate it into actionable recommendations.
