Electrical Improver – Building Maintenance

About the role

We are seeking an Electrical Improver to join our facilities team in Westminster. You will support the electrical and mechanical upkeep of commercial buildings, ensuring systems run safely and efficiently.

Key responsibilities

• Carry out electrical maintenance, fault finding and minor installation tasks.
• Maintain lighting, emergency lighting and fire alarm systems.
• Assist with mechanical plant such as AHUs, FCUs, pumps and motors.
• Perform routine plant‑room inspections and ensure statutory compliance.
• Undertake basic plumbing and general fabric maintenance when required.
• Monitor BMS alarms, record plant performance and complete reports using a CAFM system.
• Provide excellent customer service in occupied commercial environments.
• Work alongside senior engineers to develop technical knowledge.

Required profile

• City & Guilds Level 2 & 3 in Electrical Installation (or equivalent).
• Knowledge of the 18th Edition Wiring Regulations (desirable).
• Previous experience in commercial building maintenance or facilities management.
• Basic understanding of electrical fault finding and maintenance.
