About the role
Join PepsiCo’s Skelmersdale manufacturing site as an Electrical Maintenance Engineer. You will keep production equipment running smoothly, supporting the creation of popular UK snack brands.
Key responsibilities
- Carry out maintenance activities in assigned area, maximizing wrench time while adhering to safety protocols.
- Support continuous improvement using the PDCA cycle.
- Provide feedback to planners and leadership to optimise schedules, frequency and parts planning.
- Perform pre‑ and post‑maintenance quality checks.
- Manage lubrication mapping and execution, and drive simplification of lubricants.
- Train the autonomous maintenance team on equipment knowledge, Clean‑Inspect‑Lubricate routine and fault diagnostics.
- Lead root‑cause analysis sessions and provide technical expertise.
- Promote and maintain 5S standards across the plant.
Required profile
- NVQ Level 3 or equivalent engineering apprenticeship with hands‑on experience.
- Recognised electrical engineering qualification.
- Strong electro‑mechanical knowledge and understanding of equipment and technical standards.
- Familiarity with CMMS and SCADA systems.
- Ownership for safety, quality and performance.
- Problem‑solving ability and good communication skills.
