Electrical Maintenance Engineer

About the role
Our client, a century‑old manufacturing company in South Lanarkshire, is seeking an experienced Electrical Maintenance Engineer to join their on‑site team. The role follows a pitman shift pattern and offers the chance to work within a modern, continuously improving facility.
Key responsibilities
- Carry out planned preventative maintenance and respond to reactive breakdowns.
- Perform electrical fault finding and diagnose issues on PLC systems.
- Undertake general electrical and mechanical maintenance of plant, buildings and facilities.
- Collaborate closely with process and quality engineering teams.
- Support colleagues on project work and continuous‑improvement initiatives.
Required profile
- Completed a time‑served apprenticeship in a relevant discipline.
- Proven maintenance experience within a manufacturing environment.
- Demonstrated ability to troubleshoot PLC‑controlled equipment.
- Knowledge of hydraulic and pneumatic systems.
