Electrical Maintenance Engineer

About the role

We are seeking an Electrical Maintenance Engineer to join a leading food manufacturing facility in Bristol. You will be responsible for keeping production equipment running smoothly and minimizing downtime through rapid response to breakdowns.

Key responsibilities

• Perform electrical maintenance on a range of production machinery.
• Diagnose and resolve faults on PLC‑controlled equipment.
• Execute planned preventative maintenance schedules.
• Support continuous improvement projects.
• Ensure all work complies with health, safety and food hygiene standards.
• Collaborate closely with production and engineering teams.

Required profile

• Electrical qualification (NVQ Level 3, City & Guilds, HNC or equivalent).
• Experience in a food manufacturing or FMCG environment is preferred.
• Strong diagnostic and fault‑finding abilities.
• Ability to work effectively in a fast‑paced production setting.
• Knowledge of health & safety and food hygiene regulations.
