Electrical Quantity Surveyor

About the role

Shorterm Group is looking for an experienced Quantity Surveyor with a strong electrical background to take charge of the commercial and contractual side of construction projects. The role involves ensuring robust commercial control, coordinating stakeholders, and advising senior project teams on all financial matters.

Key responsibilities

• Manage commercial and contractual aspects of electrical construction projects.
• Maintain effective commercial control and cost monitoring throughout project lifecycles.
• Coordinate with designers, contractors, suppliers and internal teams to ensure alignment.
• Provide guidance and advice to the commercial team and Project Directors/Managers on cost, risk and contractual issues.
• Prepare and review tender documents, bills of quantities and cost reports.

Required profile

• Proven experience as a Quantity Surveyor, preferably within the electrical or construction sector.
• Strong understanding of commercial contracts, procurement processes and cost management.
• Excellent analytical and problem‑solving abilities.
• Ability to work collaboratively with multidisciplinary teams.
