Electrical Test & Inspection Engineer

About the role

Join phs Compliance as an Electrical Test & Inspection Engineer, delivering high‑quality testing and inspection services for electrical installations across the Liverpool area. You will work on a variety of projects, ensuring safety compliance and providing accurate reporting for our clients.

Key responsibilities

• Carry out Electrical Installation Condition Reports (EICRs) and fixed‑wire testing.
• Perform emergency lighting testing, fire alarm inspections, mains analysis and thermal imaging.
• Undertake minor remedial repairs where required.
• Complete reports and certifications using cloud‑based software.
• Ensure all documentation is submitted accurately and on time.

Required profile

• NVQ Level 3 or City & Guilds 2360/2330 Part 1 & 2.
• City & Guilds 18th Edition, 2391/2394/2395 and AM2 qualification.
• Experience in an electrical testing environment and with electrical installation or project work.
• Strong understanding of UK Health & Safety regulations.
• Good IT literacy and IPAF 3a & 3b licence.
• Full UK driving licence (maximum 6 points).
• Willingness to work 40 hours per week, including evening/twilight shifts and travel when required.
