Electrical Testing Supervisor

About the role

Skanska UK PLC is seeking an Electrical Testing Supervisor to join its Building Services team in Papworth, Cambridge. You will lead periodic inspection and testing of low‑voltage (LV) electrical installations, ensuring safety, compliance and reliability across the site.

Key responsibilities

• Carry out Group 1 and Group 2 LV electrical testing, remedial works and general maintenance.
• Expand testing scope to include fixed‑wire and RCD inspections where required.
• Perform planned maintenance and document all safety checks and test results.
• Liaise with the Electrical Operations Manager on equipment failures, ordering spares, and coordinating with suppliers or contractors.
• Support the operational team to maintain contract compliance and adhere to all FS policies and procedures.

Required profile

• Recognised time‑served electrical apprenticeship in contracting or maintenance.
• Level 3 Electrical Installations qualification.
• Current IET BS7671:2022 A2 (18th Edition) certification.
• AM2 qualification and C&G Inspection, Testing and Certification (2391/2394/2395).
• CSCS safety passport or equivalent H&S card.
• Strong knowledge of UK electrical legislation and experience in 24‑hour operational environments.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
