Electrician – Social Housing Reactive Repairs (Chingford)

About the role

We are seeking a qualified Electrician to join a leading social housing contractor in Chingford. The role involves reactive and planned electrical maintenance across occupied and void social housing properties, providing a mobile, on‑site service.

Key responsibilities

• Travel to housing association properties to carry out preventative, reactive and remedial electrical work.
• Complete work orders and reports using a PDA.
• Maintain immersion heaters, fans, showers, security and communal lighting, and domestic electrics.
• Issue minor works certificates and perform inspection, testing and remedial work on electrical exchanges and voids.

Required profile

• NVQ Level 2 & 3 (or equivalent) in Electrical Installation.
• 18th Edition certification (essential) and 2391 (desired).
• ECS Gold Card.
• Full UK driving licence (max 3 points).
• Minimum 2 years experience in social housing or local authority electrical repairs (desirable).
• Good communication skills.
