About the role

We are seeking an Electronics Engineer with a passion for vintage computing to join a busy client in Devizes. The role focuses on supporting and developing critical infrastructure built around the iconic Motorola 68000 processor, ensuring long‑term reliability of legacy systems.

Key responsibilities

• Provide ongoing maintenance and development of equipment based on the Motorola 68000 family.
• Diagnose and resolve hardware issues in mixed‑signal and analogue circuits.
• Collaborate on projects involving other microprocessor architectures and embedded systems.
• Interpret schematics and assist with low‑level firmware updates.
• Document troubleshooting procedures and contribute to knowledge‑base resources.

Required profile

• Strong interest in classic microprocessors and vintage computing.
• Hands‑on experience with the Motorola 68000 architecture or similar embedded platforms.
• Comfortable reading and working from detailed schematics.
