Employment Adviser – Support Long-Term Unemployed

About the role

Join Reed in Partnership as an Employment Adviser, helping long‑term unemployed individuals overcome barriers and secure sustainable work. You will be the front line of the Restart Scheme, delivering personalised support and promoting the programme within the community.

Key responsibilities

• Manage a caseload of long‑term unemployed jobseekers, identify barriers and create tailored action plans.
• Provide one‑to‑one guidance including CV writing, interview preparation and skills development.
• Meet and exceed performance targets and KPIs.
• Collaborate with participants to build confidence and shift mindsets.
• Engage local employers to source job opportunities.
• Sign‑post participants to internal and external services for health, housing or financial issues.
• Promote the Restart Scheme in the community, raising awareness of its benefits.
• Deliver inclusive support to people from all backgrounds.

Required profile

• Demonstrated coaching/mentoring and influencing abilities.
• Experience in a customer‑facing environment such as customer service, hospitality, social care or sales.
• Proven ability to work in a fast‑paced, target‑driven setting.
• Willingness to travel locally to meet customers and employers.
• Minimum of 2 A‑Levels or equivalent Level 3 Diploma, plus GCSE English Language Grade B (or equivalent).
