Employment Barrister – In‑house Advocacy (Hybrid, London)

About the role

We are seeking an Employment Barrister to join our growing in‑house advocacy team at a nationally‑recognised law firm. The position is permanent, hybrid and based in London, offering the chance to focus exclusively on Employment Tribunal advocacy.

Key responsibilities

• Represent clients at Employment Tribunal hearings, from preliminary matters to full hearings.
• Draft pleadings, legal opinions and advisory documents.
• Work closely with solicitors and senior advocates to develop case strategy.
• Support training initiatives for clients and internal teams.
• Provide commercially‑focused, pragmatic advice to a diverse client base.

Required profile

• Qualified Barrister (or Solicitor Advocate) with 2–5 years post‑qualification experience.
• Strong track record of Employment Tribunal advocacy.
• Excellent drafting and oral presentation skills.
• Commercial awareness and a client‑first mindset.
• Genuine interest in employment law and advocacy‑led practice.
