Employment Lawyer – Hybrid (Full‑time Temporary)

About the role

This position provides senior employment law expertise within a hybrid working model. You will lead a team of lawyers, manage a demanding caseload and deliver innovative legal solutions while supporting the wider Legal Services function.

Key responsibilities

• Assist in managing a team of lawyers across designated practice areas, providing leadership, supervision and direction.
• Deliver expert legal advice to a wide range of stakeholders and manage a complex, varied caseload with minimal supervision.
• Maximise internal expertise and reduce reliance on external legal support where appropriate.
• Undertake and oversee advocacy as required, ensuring high standards of legal practice and service delivery.
• Support governance and compliance by advising on legal and procedural matters, identifying risks and ensuring appropriate investigation.
• Promote knowledge sharing and professional development, contributing to the training of colleagues and keeping them up‑to‑date with legislative changes.

Required profile

• Proven experience in employment law, preferably with leadership responsibilities.
• Ability to lead, supervise and develop a legal team.
• Strong analytical and problem‑solving abilities.
• Capability to work independently with minimal supervision.
• Excellent communication skills for interacting with internal and external stakeholders.
• Commitment to maintaining high standards of legal practice and service delivery.
