Employment Solicitor – Hybrid, Competitive Salary

About the role

The Legists, a well‑established law firm in Devon, is expanding its Employment team. The successful candidate will advise a diverse portfolio of employer clients on both contentious and non‑contentious employment matters, working in a hybrid environment.

Key responsibilities

• Provide day‑to‑day employment law and HR advice to employers.
• Draft employment contracts, policies and procedures.
• Manage disciplinary, grievance and redundancy cases.
• Advise on TUPE transfers, restructures and settlement agreements.
• Defend Employment Tribunal claims.
• Build and maintain strong client relationships.
• Support business development and networking activities.

Required profile

• Qualified Solicitor or Chartered Legal Executive.
• Approximately 2–4 years post‑qualification experience, preferably in employer‑focused employment law.
• Strong communication and client‑care skills.
• Commercially minded, solutions‑focused and able to manage a varied caseload independently.
