Energy Manager

About the role

A business at the intersection of BMS, smart buildings and energy management is looking for an Energy Manager based in Essex, working hybrid. The role uses building data, controls and energy performance information to find ways to improve efficiency and cut operational costs.

Key responsibilities

• Monitor and analyse building energy consumption and review building performance and operational data.
• Identify energy-saving opportunities through BMS and building controls, and analyse BMS trends to spot inefficient operation.
• Work with clients to develop energy reduction strategies and present technical findings to customers and stakeholders.
• Produce energy performance reports and recommendations, then work with BMS engineers to implement optimisation measures.
• Monitor savings and measure performance improvements, support energy audits and client reviews.

Required profile

• Experience in energy management, building performance or BMS.
• Experience working with BMS trend data.
• Strong analytical and data interpretation skills.
• Strong customer-facing communication skills.

Required skills

• Understanding of HVAC systems and building controls.
• Knowledge of energy efficiency and carbon reduction principles.
