Engineering Geologist – Ground Investigation Specialist

About the role

We are seeking an Engineering Geologist to join a leading geotechnical contractor. You will be based primarily in Leeds and will travel regionally to deliver ground investigation projects for a variety of infrastructure and construction clients.

Key responsibilities

• Supervise site investigations and geotechnical works.
• Oversee drilling, sampling, testing and logging activities.
• Manage health and safety, quality standards and project delivery.
• Coordinate resources and ensure projects are completed safely, on time and to specification.
• Travel regionally with occasional work‑away assignments.

Required profile

• Degree qualified in Engineering Geology, Geotechnical Engineering or a related discipline.
• Proven experience in ground investigation, site supervision and geotechnical works.
• Full UK driving licence.
• Ability to work independently on site and manage project logistics.
