Engineering Manager – AI Agent Platform

About the role

Lead the design and delivery of production‑grade AI agents that power mission‑critical applications across finance, healthcare, and commerce. You will manage a high‑performing engineering team, ensure operational reliability, and drive customer impact at scale.

Key responsibilities

• Lead the design, implementation, and scaling of AI agents that run in production environments.
• Own the Agent Development Life Cycle (ADLC) from pilot to continuous iteration, enforcing best practices.
• Partner with large enterprises and innovative startups to translate business challenges into AI‑driven solutions.
• Shape the future of Sierra’s core platform by surfacing unmet needs and collaborating with research, product, and platform teams.

Required profile

• Proven experience leading engineering teams that build and scale end‑to‑end production systems.
• Strong technical problem‑solving ability in fast‑changing, ambiguous environments.
• Leadership style that balances high standards with empathy.
• Demonstrated success working closely with customers to deliver technical outcomes.
• Excellent communication skills for both technical and non‑technical audiences.
• Degree in Computer Science or related field, or equivalent professional experience.
