English Lecturer – Full‑time

About the role

Plumpton College is seeking enthusiastic English Lecturers to join its dedicated department. You will deliver engaging GCSE English lessons, support student progress, and contribute to a vibrant learning environment.

Key responsibilities

• Plan and deliver high‑quality, modern lessons using pedagogical technology.
• Monitor attendance, assess student work, and provide constructive feedback.
• Participate in curriculum development and quality‑improvement initiatives.
• Collaborate with the Deputy Head of English and programme managers.
• Uphold equality, diversity, and safeguarding standards.

Required profile

• Qualified to teach at this level (PGCE or equivalent).
• Strong subject knowledge with Level 2 or higher qualifications in English and Maths.
• Proven or potential ability to teach to a high standard.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Commitment to collaborative work and continuous professional development.

Required skills

• IT proficiency for delivering digital learning resources.
