English Teacher – North Cambridgeshire (Sept 2026 start)

About the role

We are seeking an enthusiastic English Teacher to join a thriving secondary school in North Cambridgeshire from September 2026. The position is full‑time and initially runs until December 2026, with the possibility of becoming permanent in January 2027.

Key responsibilities

• Plan and deliver engaging lessons for Key Stages 3 and 4 in English Language and Literature.
• Support students in developing confidence, literacy skills and a love for reading and writing.
• Collaborate with the English department to maintain high standards of teaching and learning.
• Contribute to a positive, inclusive school community.

Required profile

• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) preferred but not essential.
• Experience teaching English in a secondary school setting.
• Strong knowledge of English Language and Literature.
• Ability to build positive relationships with students and colleagues.
• Passion for raising attainment and inspiring young people.
• Excellent classroom management skills.
