Entry-Level IT Field Engineer – £100‑£115 per day

About the role

Kickstart your IT career as an Entry‑Level Field Engineer with full training and a competitive daily rate. You will travel across the UK, supporting customers on‑site and gaining hands‑on experience with a variety of hardware and networking equipment.

Key responsibilities

• Visit customer sites to install, repair, and troubleshoot IT hardware and peripherals.
• Set up and configure devices such as desktops, laptops, printers, routers and other equipment.
• Replace and upgrade components like memory, hard drives, screens and power supplies.
• Perform routine maintenance, health checks and basic networking tasks.
• Follow technical guides and documentation to ensure accurate task completion.
• Provide clear updates to the support desk and keep customers informed of progress.
• Work independently on‑site, managing time and workload effectively.
• Complete basic reporting or job‑sheet documentation after each visit.

Required profile

• Passionate about technology and eager to build a long‑term IT career.
• Willingness to travel to different customer sites (own vehicle and full UK driving licence required).
• Practical, hands‑on attitude; DIY or similar experience is a plus.
• Ex‑military background is highly desirable.
