Equity Desk Dealer

About the role

We are looking for a Dealer to join the Equity Desk within IG’s Trading function. The role involves day‑to‑day management of the equity trading book, monitoring live positions, managing intraday risk and ensuring high‑quality execution for clients across multiple markets.

Key responsibilities

• Monitor and manage intraday risk on equity products, keeping exposures within approved limits and executing manual hedges when required.
• Ensure best execution for client orders in line with IG’s Order Execution Policy and act as first point of contact for client disputes.
• Contribute to the development, testing and prioritisation of trading tools, pricing models and automated execution systems together with quantitative and technology teams.
• Serve as front‑line contact for operational incidents, handling client communication, diagnosing issues and escalating errors promptly.
• Maintain up‑to‑date knowledge of dealing systems, procedures and relevant regulations, applying new policies consistently.
• Participate in ad‑hoc projects such as new product launches and market expansion initiatives.
