Estate Worker – Fixed-Term (July‑Oct)

About the role

Dyson Farming is looking for a motivated Estate Worker on a fixed‑term contract from July to October. You will help maintain the estate to a high standard, supporting both the farm and property teams while ensuring health and safety compliance.

Key responsibilities

• Maintain and present the estate to an excellent standard.
• Grass cutting, strimming, fence, hedge and path upkeep.
• Weed control on hard‑standing areas, yards, tracks and paths using pesticides in line with COSHH assessments.
• Keep up‑to‑date records of pesticides and fertilisers used and their application locations.
• Clear fallen trees and limbs as required.
• Ensure public rights of way are clear, safe and accessible.
• Assist with ground clearance and larger estate projects.
• Support change‑over days for holiday cottages.
• Provide general assistance to Farm and Property teams and undertake reasonable additional tasks.
• Estimate materials, manage stock and maintain estate equipment records and schedules.

Required profile

• Experience operating modern machinery.
• Proactive, flexible and able to take ownership of tasks.
• Ability to work autonomously and as part of a team.
• Strong interpersonal skills and ability to follow instructions.
• Full driving licence (travel across counties required).

Required skills

• Operation of modern agricultural machinery.
• Pesticide application in accordance with COSHH regulations.
