Estates Engineer (Electrical) – Fixed Term

About the role

We are seeking an Estates Engineer (Electrical) on a six‑month fixed‑term contract to support a market‑leading organisation that manages complex infrastructure. The role involves maintaining and improving electrical services across a large portfolio of buildings, ensuring safety, reliability and compliance.

Key responsibilities

• Carry out planned preventative maintenance (PPM) and reactive repairs on low‑voltage electrical systems (up to 400 V).
• Perform fault finding, inspection, testing and certification of electrical installations.
• Maintain critical services such as emergency lighting, fire alarm systems, generators and building management systems.
• Ensure all work complies with current regulations, health & safety standards and industry best practice.
• Support shift‑based operations, including occasional on‑call duties.

Required profile

• NVQ Level 3 (or equivalent) in Electrical Installation and a current 18th Edition qualification.
• Proven experience in electrical maintenance within a commercial or complex environment.
• Strong knowledge of electrical systems, building services and relevant health & safety legislation.
• Ability to work flexibly across shift patterns and engage with site stakeholders.
