Events Executive

About the role

We are seeking an Events Executive to support the Yorkshire Children’s Charity’s events programme. Reporting to the senior events team, you will help plan and deliver a range of fundraising and donor experiences across Yorkshire.

Key responsibilities

• Assist the Senior Events team in end‑to‑end delivery of events, from concept through evaluation.
• Create project plans, timelines and risk assessments to ensure professional execution.
• Coordinate logistics with venues, suppliers, catering and AV, and manage health & safety and insurance requirements.
• Work with fundraising and communications colleagues to align event objectives with organisational goals.
• Maintain relationships with supporters, corporate sponsors and service providers.
• Monitor event budgets and ensure financial targets are met.
• Represent the charity at meetings, briefings and events.
• Provide administrative support such as thank‑you letters, scheduling and processing purchase orders and invoices.

Required profile

• Minimum 18 months experience in an events role, preferably within charity, nonprofit or cultural sectors.
• Full UK driving licence and access to a car.
• Strong project‑management ability and capacity to juggle multiple priorities.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder‑management skills.
• Calm under pressure and detail‑oriented.

What we offer

• Salary £26,000‑£28,000 per year, dependent on experience.
• Permanent full‑time role based in Leeds (LS7, moving to LS9 by end‑2026).
• Hybrid working – onsite Monday‑Thursday, home‑based Friday.
