Events Manager

About the role

We are seeking an enthusiastic Events Manager to lead the delivery of a varied portfolio of events for a Yorkshire‑based charity. You will be responsible for turning concepts into memorable experiences that support fundraising and community engagement.

Key responsibilities

• Lead end‑to‑end planning and execution of events, from concept through delivery and post‑event evaluation.
• Book talent, performers and VIP guests, negotiating contracts and managing appearances.
• Develop detailed project plans, timelines and risk assessments to ensure professional execution.
• Coordinate logistics with venues, suppliers, catering and AV providers, overseeing health and safety compliance and insurance requirements.
• Collaborate with fundraising and communications teams to align event objectives with organisational goals.
• Build and maintain relationships with supporters, corporate sponsors and service providers.
• Prepare and manage event budgets, monitoring spend against financial targets.

Required profile

• Proactive, strategic thinker with a passion for creating impactful events.
• Strong organisational and project‑management abilities.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder‑management skills.
• Experience working in a charitable or fundraising environment is desirable.
