Events Officer – Renewable Energy

About the role

Join the dynamic events team supporting Scottish Renewables, the leading voice for Scotland's renewable energy sector. As an Events Officer you will help plan, coordinate and deliver a range of conferences, seminars, networking sessions and industry awards, ensuring each event runs smoothly and meets commercial and member‑engagement goals.

Key responsibilities

• Assist the Events Manager from concept through to on‑site delivery of events across Scotland.
• Coordinate logistics, registrations, venue arrangements and attendee communications.
• Liaise with speakers, sponsors, venues and suppliers to secure contracts and manage expectations.
• Prepare event materials, maintain CRM records and support post‑event reporting and evaluation.
• Provide on‑site support, including registration desk duties and troubleshooting.

Required profile

• Experience in an administration, coordination or events support role.
• Strong organisational ability with meticulous attention to detail.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Proven ability to manage competing deadlines and priorities.
• Self‑motivated, able to work independently and as part of a collaborative team.

Required skills

• Experience using databases or CRM systems.
