Executive Director, Technology & Cyber Employee Platforms Risk

About the role

The Executive Director will lead independent oversight of technology and cyber risk for JPMorgan Chase’s Employee Platforms, a suite of tools used by roughly 300,000 global employees. Reporting to the Employee Platforms Tech & Cyber Operational Risk Officer, you will shape risk‑review strategies, focus on cloud‑service and collaboration‑tool failures, and ensure robust governance across on‑premises and cloud environments.

Key responsibilities

• Perform technical risk assessments and review threat models for critical systems and third‑party solutions.
• Identify control gaps, drive mitigation actions, and monitor remediation progress.
• Collaborate with technology teams and stakeholders to ensure compliance with JPMorgan policies and regulatory standards.
• Develop data‑driven monitoring strategies using enterprise analytics tools.
• Maintain deep knowledge of the Employee Platforms technology stack, including communication, collaboration, endpoint management, identity, and access services.
• Participate in risk governance forums, business‑unit reviews, and regulatory‑facing interactions.
• Assess emerging technology risks, stay current on vulnerabilities, and integrate findings into continuous oversight.

Required profile

• Extensive experience in technology and cyber operational risk within a large financial institution.
• Strong understanding of cloud service providers, communication/collaboration platforms, and third‑party risk management.
• Proven ability to lead risk‑assessment processes and influence senior stakeholders.
• Excellent analytical skills with a data‑driven approach to risk monitoring.
• Experience working in a second‑line‑of‑defense (2LoD) environment.
