Experienced HGV C+E Tipper Driver – South East England

About the role

We are seeking an experienced HGV Class 1 (C+E) Tipper Driver to join Tarmac Trading Limited in Brighton. The role involves delivering asphalt and dry aggregates across the South East, often requiring overnight stays (tramper) to meet customer schedules.

Key responsibilities

• Deliver asphalt and aggregates safely to customer sites throughout the South East region.
• Ensure loads are sheeted, secured and comply with legal and company standards.
• Operate tipping equipment at quarries, plants and customer locations.
• Perform daily vehicle checks, report defects and carry out basic maintenance.
• Maintain vehicle cleanliness and complete all delivery and tachograph documentation accurately.
• Adhere to drivers’ hours, tachograph legislation and company SHE standards.
• Promote a safety‑first culture and represent the business professionally.

Required profile

• Valid HGV Class 1 (C+E) licence (essential).
• Driver CPC qualification.
• Good understanding of driver hours and tachograph regulations.
• Previous tipper experience (desirable).
• Reliable, flexible and safety‑focused with strong communication skills.
