Export Clerk (Late Shift)

About the role

We are looking for an experienced Export Clerk to join a fast‑paced, late‑shift operation. Working the 15:30‑00:00 shift, you will handle evening export entries, prepare international shipping documentation and ensure all outbound shipments meet customs and airline deadlines.

Key responsibilities

• Produce and process export documents including Master Air Waybills (MAWBs), House Air Waybills (HAWBs), commercial invoices and customs declarations.
• Complete customs entries using the UK customs clearance system, adhering to all regulatory requirements.
• Coordinate with airlines, transport providers, freight forwarders and internal teams to guarantee smooth cargo dispatch.
• Investigate and resolve customs holds, paperwork discrepancies or operational delays during the evening shift.
• Maintain accurate transaction records, files and audit trails for all export shipments.

Required profile

• Solid experience in export operations within air freight forwarding or logistics.
• Hands‑on experience with customs entry systems and export paperwork (MAWBs, HAWBs, C88/CDS).
• Ability to reliably work the 15:30‑00:00 shift.
• High attention to detail and ability to meet time‑critical deadlines.
• Clear professional communication skills for interaction with airlines, hauliers and internal stakeholders.
