Exposure Management Analyst

About the role

We are seeking a data‑savvy professional or high‑calibre graduate to join our Modelling team as an Exposure Management Analyst. Working in a hybrid setting in the City of London, you will support underwriting decisions by analysing portfolio exposures with both vendor and internal catastrophe models.

Key responsibilities

• Produce high‑quality exposure reports for underwriters to inform risk‑taking decisions.
• Manipulate and input exposure data into industry‑standard catastrophe modelling software such as Moody's RMS.
• Run and monitor Exceedance Probability (EP) and internal aggregate model outputs, conducting portfolio and variance analyses.
• Liaise with underwriting units to manage data flow, communicate model results, and highlight model updates.
• Assist with internal and external market reporting, including quarterly loss estimates and post‑event loss analysis.
• Contribute to the development of proprietary models and ad‑hoc projects that enhance exposure management capabilities.

Required profile

• Minimum 2:1 degree in a numerate discipline (e.g., Mathematics, Statistics, Geography, Data Science) or equivalent experience.
• Ideally 1–2 years of experience in an Exposure Management or Catastrophe Modelling team; recent high‑performing graduates are also considered.
• Strong analytical mindset with the ability to handle large, complex datasets.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills for translating technical data to stakeholders.

Required skills

• Proficiency with Microsoft 365, Excel, Power BI, and Access.
• Experience using Moody's RMS.
• Working knowledge of SQL.
