External Sales Executive – Field-Based Role in East Anglia

About the role

Hayley Dexis is seeking a full‑time External Sales Executive to cover its Bury St. Edmunds branch and the surrounding Suffolk, Essex and Cambridgeshire counties. You will be on the road meeting existing customers, identifying upsell opportunities, and prospecting new accounts across a diverse range of sectors.

Key responsibilities

• Visit existing customers in the assigned territory to maintain relationships and drive repeat business.
• Identify and pursue upselling opportunities within current accounts.
• Generate new leads through cold calling, door‑to‑door visits and networking.
• Present and sell Hayley Dexis engineering consumables and related products.
• Achieve sales targets and report progress to the branch manager.

Required profile

• High motivation and enthusiasm for sales.
• Confident communicator comfortable with cold calling.
• Ability to work autonomously with minimal supervision.
• Interest in learning a technical product range.
• Previous external sales experience, preferably in engineering consumables, manufacturing or related fields.
