Fabric Technician – Facilities Maintenance

About the role

We are seeking an experienced Fabric Technician to join the Static division of an established facilities maintenance company. Working across multiple contracts in Oxford, you will be responsible for both planned and reactive maintenance tasks, ensuring the building fabric remains safe, functional and compliant.

Key responsibilities

• Carry out pre‑planned and reactive maintenance on a variety of assets.
• Perform basic electrical work, legionella testing, light testing and utilities checks.
• Replace door locks, fit and hang doors, replace skirting boards, and undertake carpentry and plumbing repairs.
• Install and service taps, sinks, toilets and carry out painting and decorating tasks.
• Liaise with client representatives, management and subcontractors to coordinate work.

Required profile

• Trade qualification in carpentry, plumbing or a related field (not essential but desirable).
• Experience with legionella monitoring (L8) and familiarity with the 17th/18th edition gas safety standards.
• Ability to work independently and follow health & safety regulations.
