About the role
We are seeking a skilled Fabricator/Welder to join a fast‑growing manufacturing business in Pontefract. The successful candidate will work in a dedicated workshop, producing high‑quality metal components to precise specifications.
Key responsibilities
- Read and interpret 2D and 3D engineering drawings.
- Fabricate, weld and assemble metal components using mild steel, Zintec and galvanised sheet (0.9 mm‑30 mm).
- Grind and finish completed products to required tolerances.
- Carry out quality checks on finished items.
- Adhere to company health and safety regulations.
Required profile
- Proven experience as a metal fabricator and welder.
- Experience working with mild steel, Zintec and galvanised sheet.
- Strong mathematical and engineering aptitude.
- Ability to lift and manoeuvre large metal pieces.
- Proficiency with metal‑fabrication tools.
