Facilities & Compliance Officer – Westonbirt National Arboretum

About the role

Forestry England is seeking a Facilities & Compliance Officer to join the Capital Development team at Westonbirt, the National Arboretum. You will be responsible for ensuring that a portfolio of around 40 built assets – including offices, visitor facilities, tenanted properties and dwellings – meet all relevant building and compliance standards.

Key responsibilities

• Lead building and facilities compliance across the Westonbirt site.
• Maintain and monitor compliance of all built assets.
• Support the District Building Surveyor with minor construction works and remedial projects.
• Assist in the preparation of compliance reports and documentation.
• Coordinate with tenants and internal teams to address compliance issues promptly.

Required profile

• Experience in facilities management, building compliance or a related field.
• Ability to work independently and manage a diverse asset portfolio.
• Strong organisational and communication skills.
• Commitment to a 3‑year fixed‑term appointment (potential extension).
