Facilities Coordinator – 12 month Fixed Term

About the role

Metroline Manchester is seeking a Facilities Coordinator on a 12‑month fixed‑term contract to support the Facilities Manager across its depot network. The role is based primarily at the Wythenshawe depot and involves coordinating maintenance, cleaning and security activities to ensure safe and efficient operations.

Key responsibilities

• Coordinate contractors and suppliers to deliver high‑quality services and maintain compliance.
• Maintain accurate building records, including asset registers, PPM schedules and compliance documentation.
• Assist with Building Management System (BMS) operations and sustainability initiatives.
• Collaborate with depot managers, fleet engineers, contractors and insurance assessors.
• Promote a culture of safety, well‑being and operational excellence across all sites.
• Work with the SHEQ team to ensure a safe environment for staff, visitors and contractors.
• Support reporting for clients and internal stakeholders.
• Provide project administration for refurbishment and improvement works.

Required profile

• 2‑3 years’ experience in a facilities role, preferably in a commercial or industrial setting.
• Solid understanding of building systems, maintenance coordination and contractor management.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook).
• Knowledge of health and safety legislation; IOSH or NEBOSH qualification is desirable.
• Willingness to travel between depots in Manchester.
