Facilities Manager

About the role

We are partnering with a leading property services organisation in Stockton-on-Tees to recruit an experienced Facilities Manager. The role will oversee the delivery of high-quality facilities management services across a diverse commercial property portfolio.

Key responsibilities

• Manage day-to-day operations of allocated properties, including inspections, maintenance and operational requirements.
• Coordinate planned and reactive maintenance works from assessment through to completion.
• Maintain contractor relationships, monitor performance and ensure works are delivered safely, on time and within budget.
• Arrange and attend site inspections, meetings and property visits, ensuring follow-up actions are completed.
• Oversee remedial works, handling quotations, costs, contractor coordination and progress monitoring.
• Maintain accurate compliance records, documentation and maintenance schedules.
• Build strong relationships with clients, tenants, contractors and internal stakeholders.
• Support reporting, performance monitoring and continuous improvement initiatives.
• Respond to urgent facilities issues and provide practical on-site support when required.

Required profile

• Proven experience in facilities management, maintenance or property services, preferably within commercial property or a multi-site environment.
• Strong organisational ability to manage multiple priorities.
• Excellent communication skills and a solutions-focused approach.
• Attention to detail and ability to ensure compliance and quality standards.

Required skills

What we offer

• Salary £35,000 – £40,000 depending on experience.
• 40-hour week (08:30‑17:00, Monday‑Friday) with 24 days holiday plus bank holidays.
