Facilities Supervisor

About the role

We are seeking an experienced Facilities Supervisor to support the Facilities Manager in delivering a safe, efficient and high‑standard workplace for a leading law firm in Bristol. You will lead the local facilities team, coordinate contractors and ensure compliance with health and safety regulations.

Key responsibilities

• Supervise day‑to‑day activities of the on‑site Facilities team.
• Assist the Facilities Manager with operational management of office services.
• Manage external contractors, ensuring work is completed safely, on time and to agreed standards.
• Monitor building services and service level agreements (SLAs).
• Act as the primary facilities contact for colleagues and clients.
• Support office improvement projects, relocations and workspace initiatives.
• Promote energy‑efficiency, sustainability and carbon‑reduction measures.
• Ensure full compliance with Health & Safety legislation and company policies.
• Assist with tenant matters and facilities‑related projects.
• Approve facilities invoices within delegated authority and maintain accurate records.

Required profile

• Significant experience in facilities, building management or workplace services.
• Proven experience supervising facilities staff or managing contractors.
• Strong knowledge of Health & Safety legislation and workplace compliance.
• Excellent organisational, communication and problem‑solving abilities.
• Customer‑focused approach with strong stakeholder management.
• IOSH and/or NEBOSH qualification preferred.
• Full UK driving licence and willingness to travel between offices when required.
