Family & Children Solicitor – London Law Firm

About the role

Our client, a top‑tier law firm recognised by The Legal 500 and Chambers & Partners, is seeking two experienced Family & Children Solicitors to join their London‑based practice. This permanent role involves handling complex family matters for high‑net‑worth individuals, providing confidential advice and robust representation across a wide range of issues.

Key responsibilities

• Manage and oversee complex family cases, including divorce, financial disputes, child abduction, adoption and injunctions.
• Provide advocacy in all court proceedings and ensure continuity of service for clients.
• Supervise and mentor solicitors, trainee solicitors and caseworkers, allocating appropriate caseloads.
• Contribute to departmental training, development and business development initiatives.
• Collaborate with specialist teams on high‑value matters such as domestic abuse, property, pensions and freezing orders.

Required profile

• Qualified solicitor with a clean, valid practising certificate.
• Demonstrated experience in family and children law, preferably with high‑net‑worth clientele.
• Strong client‑care approach and ability to manage a high volume of work.
• Interest in business development and marketing to support firm growth.

Required skills

• Advanced accreditation in Children Law and Family Law (Law Society).
• Proficiency in handling international child abduction and adoption cases.
• Ability to draft and negotiate complex financial settlements.
