Family Law Paralegal – Dorking

About the role

We are looking for a Family Law Paralegal to join an established law firm in Dorking, Surrey. You will work within a supportive, privately‑funded family law team, assisting experienced solicitors on a full range of cases.

Key responsibilities

• Support solicitors with divorce and civil partnership dissolution matters.
• Assist with financial remedy proceedings and settlements.
• Handle private children law matters, including child arrangement applications.
• Support separation, cohabitation, domestic abuse, and protective injunction cases.
• Draft correspondence, court forms, statements and other legal documents.
• Prepare court bundles and documents for hearings.
• Review financial disclosures and supporting documentation.
• Conduct legal research and liaise with clients, courts, barristers, experts and other solicitors.
• Maintain accurate, compliant files, monitor deadlines and record time for billing.

Required profile

• Previous experience working in a family law department.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Excellent attention to detail and ability to manage competing priorities.
• Professional, empathetic approach to client care.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Required skills

What we offer

• Salary between £28,000 and £32,000 per year, dependent on experience.
