Family Law Paralegal – London

About the role

Our client, a top‑tier law firm recognised by The Legal 500 and Chambers & Partners, is seeking a dedicated Family Law Paralegal to join its Family & Children department in London. This permanent, full‑time position offers the opportunity to work on high‑net‑worth divorce matters, domestic abuse cases, adoption, child abduction and a range of other family law issues.

Key responsibilities

• Report directly to the Department Director and provide proactive, client‑focused support.
• Assist with a variety of family matters, both Legal Aid Agency (LAA) funded and private client work.
• Attend clients, take instructions, prepare cases and manage correspondence.
• Prepare and submit funding applications to the Legal Aid Agency.
• Draft legal documents, including witness statements, and process evidence.
• Attend conferences and court hearings, handling advocacy where required.
• Maintain accurate time‑costing records and ensure compliance with file‑management procedures.
• Implement supervisor recommendations following monthly file reviews.

Required profile

• Demonstrated passion for and experience in Family Law.
• Strong academic background with a Law degree.
• Excellent client‑care skills and a sensitive, sympathetic approach to client needs.
