Family Law Paralegal (UK) - Fully Remote

About the role

Huzzle connects talent with in-house roles at leading companies across the UK, US, Canada, Europe and Australia. This is a full-time, independent contractor position for a mid-to-senior level Family Law Paralegal working on a fully remote team, directly with the business owner. You will own cases end-to-end, from documentation and court preparation to client communication.

Key responsibilities

• Draft witness statements, position statements and other supporting legal documentation
• Prepare court applications under the Children Act, Family Law Act, Matrimonial Causes Act, TOLATA and similar legislation
• Review opposing party statements and evidence, and compile, organise and format court bundles and exhibits
• Manage cases end-to-end so that documentation is accurate, compliant and submitted on time
• Conduct client consultations by phone and video, gather client information and draft professional correspondence
• Manage client onboarding and maintain and update CRM systems as cases progress
• Support legal research, reporting, administrative tasks and the delivery of productised service offerings
• Maintain accurate timesheet records

Required profile

• 3+ years of paralegal experience, with a strong preference for family law
• Ability to manage cases independently with minimal supervision
• Strong understanding of UK family law processes and documentation standards
• Excellent communication skills, able to handle sensitive client situations by phone and video
• Highly organised, detail-oriented, with strong written and spoken English

Required skills

• Proficiency in Microsoft Office and Adobe
• Experience with CRM systems, legal tools and AI tools
• Background in legal research, reporting and document formatting
