Family Law Solicitor – Hybrid (Bristol/Manchester/Sheffield/Stratford)

About the role

We are expanding our Family Law team and are looking for newly‑qualified and associate solicitors to manage a mixed caseload of privately funded family matters. The role is hybrid, with home working and one day per week in the office.

Key responsibilities

• Take ownership of a mixed caseload of family matters and conduct active negotiations.
• Use our case management system to record information accurately.
• Meet individual and team chargeable time and profit targets.
• Draft and audit legal documents and correspondence.
• For senior or lead positions, provide line‑management, mentor junior staff and act as a subject‑matter expert.
• Contribute to strategic positioning, marketing and promotion of the department.

Required profile

• Qualified solicitor or CILEX‑qualified with experience in privately funded family law.
• Proven track record of meeting chargeable and billing targets.
• Strong IT competence, including use of a case management system.
• Excellent relationship‑building and customer‑service skills.
• High attention to detail, organisational ability and resilience.
