About the role

We are a well‑regarded North West law firm seeking an experienced Family / Matrimonial Solicitor to take over a high‑quality caseload following a senior partner’s retirement. The role offers autonomy, the chance to shape the family department and a clear route to equity partnership.

Key responsibilities

• Take ownership of an existing matrimonial caseload, primarily focusing on divorce financial remedy matters.
• Handle occasional children matters as required.
• Provide strategic advice and negotiate settlements for private‑client families.
• Maintain accurate case records and liaise with senior partners and support staff.

Required profile

• Qualified solicitor in England & Wales.
• Typically 4–5 years post‑qualification experience, though flexibility is possible.
• Comfortable being the sole family fee‑earner in the office.
• Strong private‑client approach with excellent client care.

• Excellent client communication and care.
