Family Solicitor – Childcare & Domestic Abuse Law

About the role

We are seeking a qualified Family Solicitor to join our award‑winning Domestic Abuse, Children and Stalking department in Blackburn. The successful candidate will manage a varied caseload of childcare and family matters, providing expert advocacy and support to vulnerable clients.

Key responsibilities

• Manage a diverse portfolio of childcare, domestic abuse and stalking cases.
• Provide advocacy in court and other legal settings as required.
• Stay up‑to‑date with relevant legislation and best practice.
• Maintain accurate time‑recording, billing and compliance with performance targets.
• Undertake continuing professional development in line with Law Society regulations.

Required profile

• Qualified Family Solicitor or Legal Executive with experience in childcare law.
• Proven ability to manage caseloads independently and prioritize workloads.
• Strong commercial awareness and attention to detail.
• Excellent communication and client‑care skills.

Required skills

• Proficiency in Microsoft Office.
• Experience using case management systems.
