Family Support Worker – Chelmsford (£15‑18 per hour)

About the role
Prospero Health & Social Care is seeking a Family Support Worker to join its temporary team in Chelmsford. You will work directly with vulnerable children and young people, helping them develop resilience and positive coping strategies while collaborating with families, schools, social workers and health professionals.
Key responsibilities
- Provide one‑to‑one and group support to children and families in a variety of settings.
- Assist in developing and implementing personalised care plans.
- Maintain accurate records and share relevant information with multidisciplinary teams.
- Promote safeguarding and child‑protection best practices.
- Adapt support approaches flexibly to meet changing needs.
Required profile
- Minimum six months experience in a child or youth support role.
- Strong understanding of safeguarding and child‑protection principles.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
- Ability to work flexibly across different environments.
