Female Healthcare Assistant – Overnight Support for Child

About the role

Apollo Home Healthcare is seeking a caring female Healthcare Assistant to provide 1:1 overnight support for a cheerful 6‑year‑old boy living on a farm in Great Malvern. The role involves ensuring the child’s safety, comfort and clinical needs are met throughout the night while encouraging his love of outdoor play and animal interaction.

Key responsibilities

• Deliver dedicated overnight care in the family home from 10:30 pm to 8:30 am.
• Monitor and support the child’s clinical care needs, including medication administration if required.
• Provide personal care with dignity and respect.
• Promote comfort, safety and wellbeing throughout the night.
• Support daily routines and encourage independence.
• Maintain accurate care records and communicate with the wider care team.

Required profile

• Minimum three months paid care experience in the UK.
• Experience or willingness to work with children who have complex healthcare needs.
• Compassionate, patient and reliable attitude.
• Strong communication and teamwork skills.
• Full UK driving licence.
• Comfortable working around farm animals.

Required skills

• Ability to follow specialist clinical training provided by Apollo.
• Basic record‑keeping and reporting skills.
